A group of volunteers gathered in Jackson to begin planning the 7th annual Amador County Camp Out for Cancer. The event will take place on Sept. 11 and 12 at the Amador County Fairgrounds in Plymouth. There is still room for new teams to form.

The suspected triggerman in a gang assault that rocked Amador County on March 14 – leaving one teenager with a bullet hole in his face, and another bleeding from the neck – appeared in court on May 27. Later that evening, parents and teens from the community gathered to hear about Amador’s new gang task force.
