Residents of Sutter Creek, southeast of Sacramento, are preparing to vote June 8 on the 945-acre Gold Rush Ranch and Golf Resort. If approved, the project would more than double the town’s population of 2,300.

Terri Daly, Amador County administrative officer since 2007, has tendered her resignation, effective July 23. In a press release issued Wednesday, Daly said, “It is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that I submit my letter of resignation.”
